Peggy Wright (Mullins) - Class Of 1965

Peggy L. Mullins, of Richmond, KY passed from this life on April 14, 2024 after a long illness. She was in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her adoring family. Peggy was born in Jenkins Kentucky and spent most of her life there. She was a 22-year employee of the Jenkins Independent School System as secretary and bookkeeper for Jenkins Middle and High School. Peggy was a member of the Jenkins United Methodist Church, and recently Pastor Scott Rogers has served her during her illness. 

Peggy was the daughter of the late Mack and Bernice Wright of Jenkins Kentucky. Left to carry on her legacy, she is survived by her husband Lawrence (Sam P.) Mullins, her daughter Stephanie Mullins Bailey (Roger) of Irvine, Kentucky, three grandchildren: Alec, Evan, and Sydnie Arthur of Irvine, Kentucky, two sisters: Iris (Gary) Layne of Sebring, Florida and Donna Mac (John) Hale of Pound, Virginia and two nephews Johnathan Hale and Jason Hale of Pound Virginia, great-niece Seana, and great-nephews John and Elisha Hale of Pound, Virginia. She also has a host of other relatives and friends who loved her dearly, Homer (Buster) and Liz Brown who are long time friends of Peggy and Sam. 

Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. There will be a private graveside service at Big Stone Gap, Virginia at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
